Prepping food at camp

A lot of Wholesum users feed paying guests: campers, visitors, adventurers. A bare meal list (Breakfast: Oatmeal & Raisins) is fine for the kitchen, but it isn’t much of a sales tool. Client-facing menus let you add restaurant-style descriptions to each meal without changing the underlying plan.

What it does

Each meal on the menu gets a description field. Oatmeal & Raisins becomes whole-grain oats with plump raisins and brown sugar. Caprese Salad & Pasta becomes fresh tomatoes, mozzarella, and basil with a balsamic glaze, alongside pasta bolognese. The recipes, quantities, and shopping list stay exactly the same; only the presentation changes.

Where it shows up

When turned on, the descriptions export with the PDF meal plan, so the version you hand a client reads like a menu rather than a packing list.

Getting access

The feature is in beta and enabled per account. It requires Export Customization. Contact us to turn it on; all we ask in return is feedback as you use it.
